Where I’ve been this summer, and what I ate

Rome: pasta, pasta, pasta.

Caserta: mozzarella, mozzarella, mozzarella. Too much mozzarella.

Naples: pizza, pizza, pizza. Never enough pizza.

Pisciotta: anchovies, every which way.

Barcelona: everything I could get my hands on — especially patatas bravas and pa amb tomàquet

San Sebastiàn: an embarrassment of pintxos.

Roses. Yeah, there.

Stockholm: herring and meatballs. Rinse, repeat.

Amagansett: corn! Delicious, delicious corn.

    The carbonara looks properly grainy, which is so hard to do yourself — makes me remember amazing pasta, including carbonara, at l’Osteria dell’Angelo in Rome. We had the carbonara at Convivio the other night and it was gloopy and no good.
