went up to boston this past weekend to attend our first-ever fat is flava meeting. we had ourselves a button-poppin’ brunch at bob the chef’s, and it was pretty damn good. much better than i’d anticipated, anyway. excellent fried chicken and ribs. not so keen on the pie, though. some pictures:

austin (with the biggest plate of food ever) and nelson chowing down.

the aftermath: nelson. perhaps regretting the third piece of chicken and second slice of pie.

carl and andy.

oh, a call for new members: we always welcome interested parties who might contribute to our little endeavor. so if you check out the website, and you think you’ve got the mix-disc chops or some new music to foist upon us, by all means, shoot me or fred an email.

i was walking towards the A train near my house after dropping off a package at the post office when i happened to notice some puppies in the window at a pet store down the street from me. i decided to check the place out, see if they had any hammies, but instead, i found this cat (and yes, this is an actual real-live cat):

her name is porsche.

that is one talented groomer. he’s dyeing her orange tomorrow.
